I went for Business School then to Med school but I considering knocking out a tech degree threw Western Governors University and take advantage of the Flat fee college before I have kids and loose the change.

I would suggest that after the civilized world collapses, the med school knowledge and maybe even the business degree will be valuable. You're working on Mturk right now though, which suggests that you are unsatisfied with the options that are afforded to you by your current Schooling. So, sure IT, why not.

It's was a pioneer in Flat Fee college. 3,000 for 6 months at a time. I was reading on some other forums of people knocking out degree's in 6 months to a year. I all ready have a ton of credits that should transfer.

I have a day job that required my business degree for. As far as Med school my mom is a doctor and guilted me into it. I had no desire. Total waste of time and money. I enjoy programming and such and travel a lot so I want something that will not hinder my travels.

I'm working towards a Networking specialist degree. I already have a job in networking but they expect me to get the certs and degrees anyways. Only skill you need is the ability to communicate clearly and not get annoyed when the person you're trying to help does the exact opposite of what you tell them 473717283 times.

Yeah, military families got degrees in less than a year at where I went, good program
Though... I made more w/o the degree than I have with, and now it is basically useless to me.

they do, I got one a day or 2 ago I believe, I don't think they are as frequent as they used to be though

And for the love of God, just go to trade school aka technical school. A degree in computer science won't help much at all unless you plan on being very high up in the field

For me, the lack of preview-ability became a dealbreaker after they wanted an opinion of a several-minute Youtube video for 0.04.

I looked at tech school and a few different flat fee colleges. Price was very close. I have a buddy who just finished his degree in IT management and places are knocking down his door trying to hire him. I'm leaning more toward programming.

It is real, there's a site for testing about 30 miles from me, and I know a few people in their programs. It was created by the state (Missouri) to provide affordable education options in a few fields.

A few other schools have flat fee programs that are "off line" northern AZ state, University of Wyoming, Southern New Hampshire, and others. I just like it's self paced I end to pick things up rather quickly and hate to wait for everyone else. I feel like it's a waste of time. As long as it's accredited I'm happy.
