I'm going to have to go with Quantum Leap, because the show didn't even really end. They threw up a plain black screen at the end that misspelled the main characters last name and said "Dude never managed to get home, so you can't even kind of pretend that maybe he got some off screen satisfaction in the end."

Not only did they fuck up the ending, they squandered that show's potential so badly. Season 1 of Dexter is one of my favorite seasons of any tv series ever. Showtime just runs shows into the ground, it happened with Dexter, Weeds and with Homeland.
