I don't see how you can get rejections off that Keating batch though. It was all pretty straight forward. Either Yes or no questions. (Assuming you did call and not just search online for info)
do both to make it the most efficient
the ways I made it less hell
Google non-obvious business name. Confirm if they even CARRY products at all.
Call number.
Ask for business name if not given (to see if it matches) ask RELEVANT questions. "I know you carry vapes, but do you also have regular cigs?" (for a shop with vape in the name that shows up as primarily a shop on google, vice versa if they seem to be a smoke shop) If you ask non-scripted sounding questions, they're nicer to you.
Seriously, don't read the questions off the list, or even just ask "do you carry vapes" it's the only way to avoid getting screamed down.
I remember asking a vape shop about the kinds of vapes they carry, and the dude getting mad that I wanted to know about their average selection in general. It was not fun. But it also made 0 sense, because I sounded like I wanted to buy something.

Tl;dr
GOOGLE FIRST, QUESTIONS 2ND. (And also sound like you wanna buy shit)

I'm going to ask my one dumb question for the day. How come I can grab that but almost never get the $3 ones anymore? I know they recycle some of the groups but are people really running pandas on those?
