It's something that MTurk has recently implemented with HITS that you have accepted a lot of. They are still there they just aren't letting you grab one at the moment. Keep running a panda you will get a slow trickle of them as they refresh.

I know what you mean. My personality is the sort where someone tends to either love me or hate me. I just tend to enjoy messing with those who hate me which makes them hate me even more. Life is complicated sometimes, fun though!
