Possible renal failure caused by a kidney infection. He's also anemic. The outlook isn't great (he's 17 years old), but there's a little bit of hope with medication and as long as I can get him to start eating/drinking.
I bet he's building a spaceship and has a group of followers ready to go at a moments notice. I don't know I just got a vibe.
I am sorry I know how that is. It's upsetting. We have a cat that has to have insulin shots twice a day. She's 12 and really a part of our family. It's hard to see her not feeling good.

I'm so sorry That is how Luna went this past Feb she was 23 and had a long life. Had to have her on special food from when I adopted her in 2000. I chose her cuz she was lovey and came right to me, this biggest factor was that they said she was 7 or 8 at that time and it already didn't look good. So I thought hell I'll take this challenge ! I informed them lest March of her passing when I went in to adopt Fairbanks, they looked in their fancy puter and jaws dropped at how long she lived 
. I wish all the best and me and my 4 kitties will say prayers
