I smoked a lot of pot in my teens up to my twenties and enjoyed it thoroughly but then it started to stress me out. I started feeling like it was just wasting my time and after that every time I smoked it I would just get anxious. I might take a puff or two every couple years but I'd rather relax with a cocktail, beer, or a glass of wine.

To each their own though.
I actually managed a dispensary when I was 19-20. It was a fun experience, but I too smoked way too much. I don't at all anymore, but I noticed that when I'm high (found out accidently with norcos after having a bunch of teeth pulled) I'm nicer to my kids.

I would actually die if I smoked. because of my asthma. I can't exercise properly more than PT, because I'm disabled.
And knowing that weed fucks with people MORE because of this makes me upset because great, I don't NEED to make my paranoia worse by buying into this magical (mostly illegal) cure all.
Here, it's legal. So I don't mind smoking and I've been diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and a stomach condition triggered by stress. I also suffered from severe chronic pain for approximately 10 years before trying smoke. Any person I have known with medical issues typically avoid sativa (when it is legal and you buy from a medical dispensary, you know exactly what you're getting) because it has effects that can amplify mental disorders. That being said, I have been clearly diagnosed with above things and do not get paranoid or crazy from smoking.

Marijuana alleviates and helps over 700 different types of disorders so I wouldn't knock on it just because it may not have worked for you. Mindset is important. If someone buys weed and goes into a smoking session scared or paranoid already, then it is only going to amplify those feelings. You have to be relaxed to have a good time, and if that is not possible, then that's why it isn't working for you.

this is not intended to offend anyone but to actually explain, for those who don't research, why it is making you paranoid. You just can't smoke weed and feel better if the mental disorder is causing you to go into the sessions paranoid. Weed helps a LOT of people so I guess I wanted to educate a little bit because it's a topic I have academically studied for a long time. This is also kind of not directed at you personally, but anyone who has posted saying it made them paranoid lol

I refuse to try it in a place that it isn't legal. A dispensary is different. I'm just tired of people acting like it HAS to work for everyone. It is not magic. I am glad it works for you, but it's just like any other medicine. It can help, or it can not work, or the side effects can be too much, etc.
