would it surprise you that I'm extremely liberal in politics as well? I know I don't fit people's presumed expections on what a retired Marine should be, but I have always been one that believes that folks ought to do what they want to do as long as nobody gets hurt.

This is exactly the problem. I have intense social anxiety, so if I'm with at least one other person, I'm going to be going into every single smoking situation scared or paranoid already. There's no way for me to relax or change that, so yes, those feelings get amplified by quite a lot. It has nothing to do with the strain, like so many people love to claim. It's inherent in all psychedelics. They can take any negativity in your brain and blow it way up so you can't focus on anything else. This is why weed is not necessarily good for all conditions.

It isn't for everyone. I knew close friends who couldn't smoke because of their mental issues being amplified. I am in no way trying to push my views on other people, but I did want to at least somewhat educate on what I know from being in a state where it is legal, and obviously having smoked it for a long time. Maybe one day they will approve of making medicine with CBD only so that the THC doesn't affect people. And then it would be medicine anyone could get the benefit from without the psychoactive properties.

I would actually die if I smoked. because of my asthma. I can't exercise properly more than PT, because I'm disabled.
And knowing that weed fucks with people MORE because of this makes me upset because great, I don't NEED to make my paranoia worse by buying into this magical (mostly illegal) cure all.

The thing is that I'm not uneducated about it either. I just know that it's a bad idea. Anything psychadelic is bad for me.
I am pretty fucking likely schizo but I lie to my doctors enough that they just put down bipolar + psychosis which sounds less scary so I go with it.
I also apparently have ptsd because my therapist keeps trying to dx me with it and I'm scared of that too. I have neurological issues too, which even my neurologist isn't sure exactly what it is but keeps trying to find out.
A lot of the properties are bad for me. Awful. And there is NO way I could relax around another person to try it. Just no way. I'd never even ask if it WAS legal. I don't want anything remotely psychadelic near me at this point, because I already deal with that shit enough in general.

Also, have they made a way for it to stop smelling like death when it's smoked yet? That's what I want from this all...
