The thing is that I'm not uneducated about it either. I just know that it's a bad idea. Anything psychadelic is bad for me.
I am pretty fucking likely schizo but I lie to my doctors enough that they just put down bipolar + psychosis which sounds less scary so I go with it.
I also apparently have ptsd because my therapist keeps trying to dx me with it and I'm scared of that too. I have neurological issues too, which even my neurologist isn't sure exactly what it is but keeps trying to find out.
A lot of the properties are bad for me. Awful. And there is NO way I could relax around another person to try it. Just no way. I'd never even ask if it WAS legal. I don't want anything remotely psychadelic near me at this point, because I already deal with that shit enough in general.

Also, have they made a way for it to stop smelling like death when it's smoked yet? That's what I want from this all...
I have PTSD. If you actually have it, there's nothing to be scared of because there's nothing you can do about that right now. It is absolute HELL, a living f-ing HELL to have PTSD, and I would not wish it on anyone.

A lot of people claim to have it, (and I'm NOT talking about anyone on this forum), who do NOT actually have it. You know, damn good and well, there's something wrong with you if you have it. Did I mention that it's absolute HELL? Because it is HELL. You will have already been living the HELL whether your doc diagnosis you or not. You CAN manage it...not easy, but you do not have to take their drugs for it. F that. They can teach me how to manage it better, but they will not have me shoving drugs down my throat. I don't need drugs to turn me in to a zombie, I just need the tools to learn how to cope when a "trigger" (How I hate that word anymore since it's so abused these days) sets it off.

wow

"After exercise-induced bronchospasm, placebo marijuana and saline were followed by gradual recovery during 30 to 60 min, whereas 2.0 per cent marijuana and isoproterenol caused an immediate reversal of exercise-induced asthma and hyperinflation."
Isn't isoproterenol in itself sometimes used to treat asthma? This seems like saying that water combined with albuterol will reverse an asthma attack. Well, yeah, albuterol treats asthma attacks, so unless what you're adding makes it LESS effective...

in my experience that always kills the discussion. just my 2 cents
I understand what you're saying. Also keep in mind if you would like to start a thread, we can always move the relevant posts to that thread, so it doesn't kill the conversation, if those participating it in would like that.

How many requesters do you think run away as soon as they come to our daily thread and think the majority of the workers sit around getting high/drinking all day while working on mturk?

none, because none of that is mentioned at all. You can discuss things w/out saying "I'm getting high right this second." And if someone did say they were getting high right this second it would be edited.

The mods are actually very good at making this place seem semi-professional

I'd disagree. If I were a requester and went to check out the scene and went to a subform called "Daily Work Thread" and saw the topic going on inside of it pretty often, I'd question it.

It's not that you guys can't talk about it in the daily thread, just when things start to get a bit more heated with an involved topic non-turk related it might be better suited in an individual thread.
how about we switch to a drug that we all agree on?
