I cooked 4 chicken breasts the other evening with the expectation that two would be left over. I ate half of one and he ate three and then fed my leftover half to the dog because it didn't even occur to him that I was saving the leftover half for my lunch the next day.

He works in a restaurant and has no concept of what food actually costs in a grocery store.

How do you suggest to your significant other that he's eating too much food in one sitting without insulting him?

There's not really any way to say this w/out possibly offending them. But maybe he needs to hear it?


edit: From my perspective as a really bad overeater, sometimes I don't realize how much I'm eating cause it doesn't seem like that much to me when I'm eating, so I have to be told to quit it sometimes.

4 chicken breasts, an onion, and 2 huge red peppers is enough food for 2-3 meals for me. I'm 5'6 145. 4 breasts isn't much food.

I always leave 2\3 PandAs going all day long for zings. They are my top paying requester. I only do the compare, with the script I can do 10\15 a minute. Shit money I guess but, it's no chance of rejects.

He eats so much food, I don't even get it. I make dishes and expect leftovers for the next day, and then it's all gone.
