Vodka and ginger for me this evening because I'm totally feeling sorry for myself on Father's Day with no dad. husband/older 2 boys went on a week long scout trip in the wee hours. Just feeling sad as fuck in general but even more since my youngest went to bed.
I lived in an apartment complex like this when I was in my 20s. I was a total narc and would call the police and then watch from. My dark apartment when they got busted. I'm an asshole but I'm a considerate asshole.

I have crickets chirping in my house because my fat, lazy, good for nothing (except pure joy) bearded dragons are full and haven't eaten all their crickets.
I am SO jealous. I currently have loud stomping from one set of neighbors and screaming children from another family. Their kids apparently don't have a bedtime because they run around and yell until after midnight.

That can't be good for them. I live in a smaller city in the south so it's like this all the time. We gave up city life for the quiet life.

Not everyone was meant to be a parent. It's a hard thing to learn but once you do, there's some peace that comes with. My dad was more of a buddy than a dad. He took his life a little more than 6 years ago and I've struggled ever since, blaming myself (I'm the oldest,) etc. night crew is total free therapy time.
