There were a few people that had said like last week that they want to see a video of my rat who is trained to ride in my purse. I had uploaded a youtube video for a friend and I guess I'll share it here. It's literally like the first video I've edited so bare with me. LOL

That is sooooo adorable!!! I've been considering getting a rat as a first pet for my son/classroom pet for me. I'm a science teacher so I know the kids would LOVE him! But I've never had a pet rat before. Any tips for a first time owner?

Get two, know ahead of time that they have a very short lifespan. Males are lazy (with giant balls) and females go into heat a ton and start acting insane. They love attention and are very social with each other (but sometimes males fight and injure each other) Research tons about what you can and cannot feed them. (no citrus for boys and NO POTATOES for either sex the green parts are poisonous) They have very sensitive respiratory systems and can only have certain kinds of bedding. The more you handle them they better they get. I know someone who works in a pet store and she brings her rat and he sits in her apron pocket all day.
