I called the vet - it's where we took our bearded dragon when he got sick - but the phone's ringing off the hook. Hopefully, someone somewhere can help out. I adore turtles/tortoises, especially the sulcatas and Galapagos.

I think so too. People around here run over turtles for sport if they're in the road. Which is why I always stop and move them to the other side of the road in the direction they were headed.

same, i carry a folding shovel in my car and truck for that reason. around here if it rains a ton there are a few creeks that overflow and turtles are everywhere on the side roads.

I do too, but I'm about an hour north of you in the boonies so sometimes it's as many as 5 or 10 a week!

This guy lives in a homeless shelter. He helps out there. He'd run across hard times, was an alcoholic and just never left once he got it together. He's a really sweet man. I feel terrible for him.
