True Google Fu is using the system to both work its best according to your needs but also eliminating anything unnecessary and thus more time-consuming. In this case, both searches place the script as the top result, so the site parameter wasn't really necessary after all.

When you turk... you only want to search once... so do it right the first time. Search operands exist to manipulate the search results and target the information you want more accurately. Few searches we do are going to have so few relevant results... adding "greasyfork" to the search string is a sloppy way of relying on google to interpret what the second word could be with the intent of implying its a website to narrow the responding results... stipulating site: instructs the search engine to display only results from the supplied site and takes negligible additional time...

Okay now I have TM on. Please ELi5. Is here a setting I need to change? When I save a new hit to it and go back to my account page it isn't saving.

TM can have issues if you use the TO browser extension, rather than the userscript - might that be the problem?

They just tightened their rules- no more running apps for extended periods of time without interaction. I mostly just do the scratch offs when bored now (plus the daily free points on that app).

About 34 minutes total (I think it sat in my queue for about 5 or so.) Waiting for the first email was what took the most time. The survey was short though.
