FUCK there is a charge on one of my cards for $613!!! I am going to call my bank and change my passwords. I emailed mturk but do they have any kind of phone number?

I searched my first name and all I found was another requester with same first name but diff last name. I searched my worker ID and nothing. Idk how else to search.

It's possible the hits already came and went, the hits that did this didn't stay up long

If there were HITs, they're likely already gone. When the scam HITs were being posted, those disappeared quite quickly (either by someone accepting them and gullibly doing them, or because they were reported/removed).

I agree.

I used to develop games or create animations/videos for kids when I was in school so I could change how the learning was done. The school also all had laptops so I had to incorporate technology(even though I'm auditory and can just take notes and be good... kids aren't like that now a days really). I would use googles word program to have them all work on the same document and I was able to view every groups document as they did the lesson and I was able to pull it up to discuss it with the students in real time as well as create comments in real time in the side bar.

It's actually not too hard to create a lesson for kids to be at least somewhat enjoyable for them, a lot of teachers just don't do the research or don't want to invest the time. I left the profession because the pay for the time investment isn't worth it. I may return in a few years after a break.

FWIW most of the time you can just dispute the charge and report your card as stolen online, so you can skip the phone call. Also, they might not do anything about reversing the charge until it actually actually posts.

Haha I was thinking of that recent remote desktop thing that had the keylogger in it and a ton of people's accounts got hacked but I couldn't remember the name. Guess I forgot to delete my stream of consciousness before I posted.

The scammies was the first thing I thought of. I don't have any charges showing on any of my cards as of now.

If it was me and this is me, I'd probably call the bank or issuer of the CCs and see if any charges were made. As long as that won't create more problems for you. I sometimes get concerned about that stuff but after a while you can see what is scam and what isn't. When all those phising scams first hit I actually did call the FBI number that is given online to call. And they seemed to take me seriously or were just asking me questions to figure out is I was for real. But that was a while ago. And things weren't quite so paranoid inducing as they are now.
