Library cards can actually vary from library to library. (And nearly everyone has credit/debit cards not so much student IDs or sam's cards) Credit cards are usually all the same size no matter what. Unless you're holding it to the webcam, or taking a picture, they can't get the information. Unless there is a new kind of monitor i don't know about >.>

We have cards but it also requires a 4 digit assigned PIN. I have a sticky note with my PIN stuck to the back of my card. Super secure, I know. But otherwise, I'd never remember the PIN they gave me.

We have like <1800 people in our town, and we're lucky to have a library at all It's tiny, and every dollar saved counts.
