You definitely had it easier because a lot of shit hit the fan because of MTIs then. I went through in 2008 and while it wasn't as hard as the Marines and maybe the Army, it is not like it is now. You can have your cellphone in your locker now. They've softened it and I hate that. It's brought in little shits with no discipline.

I had someone in my flight who got caught sneaking in food the first week. Sent to another flight and was caught sneaking food right before he was about to graduate. You cant fix stupid.
