Random question- when you transfer to an amazon gift card balance, do you get like a gift card number or anything? I normally purchase things through another account which has prime, my account does not have prime.

If not, I guess i'll transfer right to my bank from Amazon Payments.

No gift card number. It's added directly to your account as a gift card balance to be applied to future purchases. You can't transfer it to other accounts.

save yourself the hassle and transfer to your bank account. if you want to buy stuff on amazon i recommend the amazon store card to get 5% back.
