9 times out of 10 it's safe regardless of the requester. They don't know it's broken and are thankful for the heads up.

I always do the same thing. It is not my fault that the requester didnt check to see if their survey worked without bugs and I put time and effort into doing their survey. Time I can no longer get back so I expect to be compensated for that time. Usually they just approve after reading my email and I dont think I have ever gotten a rejection from doing this, maybe once or twice. Im willing to risk a rejection on a 3 dollar hit. Worth the risk in my eyes.

They are affiliated with Northeastern University so I'll just take it up the chain if I have to, and I can honestly afford the rejection.
