Call and complain, explain to them that you work from home and missed pay. Be persistent. When I get an outage I get a 25-75 dollar credit on my bill everytime doing this.

They keep saying that nothing is showing up having an outage on their end- no matter how many people in town call

Talk to a supervisor. I am assuming you have Comcast. Fuck Comcast. But if you are persistent and keep reminding them that you pay a shit ton of money every month to ensure you have adequate service to work and that these outages have cost you hundreds they will compensate you. You should be able to at least make up the pay you missed.

No, we don't have any big chains. It's a very tiny regional phone company.

Oh man. I lived in a town with 94 people for a while in Ohio. It was awful, but then I grew up just outside of Cincinnati. There were like 60,000 people in my town and I was within an hour drive of two cities with 100,000+ people.

I love it. I like the quiet and the slow pace of life. I lived fast and hard for a long time then moved here about 6 years ago. Best adult decision I ever made.

That's fair, but I like being able to reach stores and my 4/20 sources relatively quickly. My dad likes it though. He still lives there.
