The deal breaker for them is when I would mention things about their company that the average person doesn't know. Researching on the company's background is probably the best thing one can do to talk their way into a decent salary.. or get the job in the first place.

LOL. Oh trust me I always did my homework. I got hired into the largest logistics company in the world and happened to be a contractor for them for three years before I got hired. They were cheap asses. After I put in my two weeks suddenly they are asking me what they can do for me. I told them to shove it (mostly because I hated my crazy boss though).
