This is very true. I have to work really hard to curb my vocabulary because otherwise people tend to think I'm an asshole.

I mean...I am. But not because of my vocabulary.

But they tend to get really angry when they think they know what something means and take offense without bothering to look it up.

At my last job, all my coworkers dumped work on me. I really once when a manager in the copy-print department acted like I could do the work "so fast." I'm just efficient. It would be annoying to have things go missing all the time, tho. We had that happen a lot with the tape.
