I don't know if anyone here has done any of the College Faculty Data Collection hits that have been up since yesterday but just in case I wanted to give a heads up. I wrote the requester last night since I was feeling uncertain on some of the instructions and she got back to me this morning.

In the instructions it's a little vague and sounds like you only need to mark a "none" in the first URL field if a college doesn't have a specific department. But she informed me that she wants "none" listed in ANY of the faculty blank spaces, otherwise she'll consider it incomplete and reject. I wrote back very politely to restate that what she wants isn't how it comes across in the instructions. Really hoping that I'm not going to have all the ones I did last night rejected (which at least aren't too many since I didn't want to totally dive in on a new requester and not until I heard back). In any case, I figured I probably wasn't the only one who managed to make the hits worth the time and since there's still a couple hundred up I wanted to pass on the information to hopefully prevent anyone else from possible rejects on the batch.

It's just a dollar but for lots of people, and getting a scammy requester in trouble with their department gives me far more warm fuzzies than a dollar ever would.

yeah but i've spent at least a few hours emailing back and forth with these assholes so far. so it's more than the dollar for me at this point. i honestly would return the freaking dollar if they overturn my rejection.
