I quit smoking 11 years ago this past May

have you tried meditation?
realistically, nicotine only takes 3 days to quit [physically], but the mental part varies from person to person.
drinking cranberry juice during the first three days is very helpful, while the body adjusts and relearns how to allocate glucose

I don't know how much I'm allowed to speak about it here, but he's ok. We're going to push through it and get him better. He's a tough dude, which is a huge part of why I fell in love with him. It was a really rough weekend, but it's over now and everything is gonna be ok

That's the part that gets me, not being man enough to handle it on my own. No one should have to suffer with me.

As a woman, don't do that macho stuff! but I get it. I have not admitted to many I have a nicotine issue again.

I'm seeing my best friend soon who will want to beat me senseless for giving in again if I tell her I have. But I think I'm gunna so she can send me daily texts to NOT DO IT.

So yeah, sometimes we can't do it alone, and that is OKAY!

How do you handle the "triggers" that make you want nicotine? That is my downfall. I'm all good for months, years, then a trigger hits and bam...

I just went back and found his post. I missed it Sunday.

What he's dealing with is a bitch. Addiction is super hard. But he can do it and I know having you with him will make a humongous difference. I struggle with a few addictions myself and while I'm not "officially" an addict (nothing has ever actually interfered with my life) I know I'm THISCLOSE to the line and fight crossing it every. single. day.

You guys are both strong people (shhhh....yes you are...) and stronger together!
