Caught it as well but took a look at that TO. Seems pretty unanimous that the pay is shit.
TO is great, but you are forgetting selection bias (like with all review sites). Who is likely to review? We have (1) conscientious community members and (2) people who had some extreme emotion. I doubt anyone is gushing over this HIT, but some people do find that the work is too tedious. They are disproportionately reflected. We've had over 300 people complete and most seem satisfied (or just weren't unsatisfied
enough to post on TO).
I'm somewhat surprised at the poor pay reviews. The pay and time is almost exactly as advertised and often comes to $7/hour. I'm not saying that's good or bad, but you know exactly what you get. So my only advice is do the HIT if you feel a consistent $7/hour HIT is worth it to fill in dead zones when other better paying HITs aren't available or get some intrinsic pleasure from doing psychology-like experiments. But don't read too much into the actual score on generosity on TO - it's complete unnecessary information as the pay-to-time is accurately reflected.
I don't factor in the emotional toll I suppose...
Of course, don't do the HIT if you think you'll regret it. We don't want anyone locked in to an annoying HIT they don't want to do.
