It looks like people who did the Phone Survey are not getting Captchas today.

That's not true, I didn't do any kind of phone survey and I haven't gotten a captcha since 5 pm pst yesterday

quick question on this, why pay a premium for this when you can just set a qual for free or state it in the hit? It just seems like a money grab rather than an "improvement"

pretty much, rather than simplify the qual system overall so requesters can actually understand it, they can get a little off the top now

as to the point about stating it in the HIT, that basically guarantees a bunch of lying liars are going to take your survey

at $.50/HIT this doesn't make any sense, if it were a blanket qual like the state quals or like how Prolific does it, it would have its place

No, it's just an optional thing that requesters can choose to pay for. But requesters can accomplish the same thing for free, like they always have, so I doubt anyone will ever use it.
