They did NOT warn me how painful they were. I almost punched my husband the first time he gave it to me.

Damn. So sorry. That sucks. I've had a few "let's see if this works!" shots and if I screamed when they injected me I noped out of them after that.

It wasn't. The only time I take steroids is when Im stupid and take what puts me into anaphylactic shock.

But, yeah, cutting out carbs would have stopped some of the weight gain for sure.

Except wine is a carb.

(and I'm one of those chicks who never gained weight no matter what I ate until I was 45 so I'm super resistant to dieting, lol. I never had to. I just had to up exercise and the weight fell off me easily! Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo different now.)

Good, I'm happy that you found the thing that works for you. I was chubby as a teenager. It wasn't until I left home and got to choose my own food that I was able to lose weight. It's not something I have to pay attention to anymore. I just have habits that seem to help me maintain a certain weight. I'm really tall though, so that helps. If it does become a concern, I would highly recommend the low carb thing.

I don't mind needles, I'm just worried I'll jerk it out when the pain hits. I do it occasionally on my own just so I know how to do it if I need to.

That was me, though I'm short. I am a carb lover and ate a lot of those, but I naturally exercised a lot, and balanced carbs with raw food so I was teeny tiny before I had babies. After babies I was a bit heavier (shit happens, my babies are worth it), but still not bad. Now? fuck. I can eat super healthy, not starve myself, exercise like mad and STILL GAIN WEIGHT.

I hated needles until my first pregnancy. Then I got stuck like fifty bazillion times and finally decided to get over my paranoia of them. Now I only get scared when they have to put in the whatever it's called for an IV. I hate those. Hate em.
