I had this perplexing exchange with her earlier...and just now noticed the last one she sent. Honest to goodness this is our conversation over email. I just edited out the email addresses.

Me: Hi there. I just caught your HIT, but the survey link is missing from it. Can you send me the link so that I can complete this for you before the time runs out on the HIT? Thanks!

Me: This is a link to contact mturk? The problem isn't with the platform. When setting up the HIT, you must have forgotten to include the link to your survey.

Her: Either way, it should not be this difficult to refund my money. If this is how it will be I will write the worst review on your company. I'm a very dissatisfied client.

When I left my old neighborhood in early 2015, the DSL provider (Centurylink) still had no option above the advertised 1.5mbit. I had the 1.5mbit service until 2008 or so, when they suddenly decided that for line stability I'd need to be downgraded to 256kbit. The line stability issue was of their own making (repeatedly cutting the lines in the backyard while trying to bury other lines). I tried to convince them of this, to no avail. They insisted I wouldn't notice a difference in speed. I almost cried right in front of the tech because I was so frustrated. I ended up jumping to cable, which I had avoided due to some other issues with them in the past. It worked out fine in the long run, but there are some areas around here where the cable provider isn't an option.
