It can take some time to get used to how mturk works and find a groove. It's super overwhelming at first. When I was new, I was so clueless that it took me like a month before I even had 100 approved HITs. The key is to just keep at it. Keep trying to do your thing and you'll gradually pick up bits of info here and there that you can use to improve over time. Hitting the big numbers is something that very, very few people do overnight. It's a learning process that can take often take some time. You just have to want it.
