I had an MTurk nightmare last night. In the dream, I did a male only survey on purpose and got rejected because they knew I was female. Then I did the female only version of the same thing and they rejected it because I had already done it. I was so mad, and while I was being mad at that, I got two more rejects on something else.

WTF?

I had a nightmare that Mturk was my main source of income.

The nightmare is real.

Nope - I actually only saw a glimpse of one once and that was it!

I thought there was something like a tip jar. But it's been years since I went to Europe. It was usually by the door as I remember. But I was there when the wall came down and people were flowing in from East Berlin. So I'm sure even the smallest things have changed. That was a historical moment to see. People kept coming up to us and then those from East Germany did not speak English and we didn't speak German. But they kept asking us and we definitely looked like tourists, how to get to different places. So every morning before we left our hotel, we grabbed a handful of city maps they had then and when someone asked us how to get somewhere we showed them on the map. We may not have spoken each other's language but it didn't take long to figure out how to communicate.
