There is a full moon! pretty!

But I went outside barefoot. And stepped on a snail on my way back in. that was...uh...not fun.
Just today I saw one of my aquarium snails outside the fish tank. It probably had been there for hours, it was all dried up and I thought it was dead. I put it back in the tank and guess what? It was fine a few minutes later, moving around the glass searching for food.

If my snail could make it, we can all make it. Or maybe we haven't been outside the aquarium for long enough.

so you're saying I should go back outside, gather up the fragments and put in it water and hope it lives?

I would feel guilty if it was an Hawaiian snail. thems are pretty. My hometown snails are just annoying.

It's a nerite snail. They have real pretty patterns on their shells, but I guess they're also suicidal.

OOOH! We had those when I was a kid. My mom used to have an aquarium us kids had to take care of. We had lots of gorgeous snails. And other things that ate algae. And fish (of course). But I was a kid, so beyond that description I have no clue. I just had to clean it and make sure the light and air was always on.
