I started at 79 (don't remember taking the qual test), went down to 75, back up to 76 now.

Qual was autogranted. I just requested and it gave me 70.

I'm in the same boat. This batch is seems to have a lot of items with 6 really good descriptors or 2.

I tend to go for the safe and obvious instead of in depth.

Okay, I got an email out of the blue a few days ago saying my qual was 79. I vaguely remember doing some of the hits a while back, but I didn't know they were qual hits.

the statistician in me enjoys that my score pretty much regresses to a mean of 75 every day

been as high as 80 and as low as 72, but after a few thousand it always seems to settle at 74-76

I think he gave the qual to people who did the hits before. I have never done any until a couple days ago. The qual was autogranted at 70.
