Do these requesters really expect me to do their entire survey and then go and grab the hit? I've gotten like five or six this morning that warn me not to take the hit until I've completed the survey.

Oftentimes those requesters don't understand how MTurk works and don't realize that you have to accept the HIT to "claim" one.

They don't understand how mTurk works so they think that's what you're supposed to do.

Probably the only situation where it's okay to ignore the instructions.

they might expect it, but don't do it that way - it won't work
