Just as a final point on this note, and its completely anecdotal so take that for what its worth, but in the 3 years I've been around I've definitely seen a slow but steady increase in the average pay for surveys (from average/good requesters, I guess, its hard to articulate). Things such as these do not happen over night, thanks to whatever amount of red tape has to be cleared in the first place. Many of these requesters operate under the umbrella of a lab and post under many different accounts (I usually look for the principal investigator in the disclaimer form), and I certainly feel like the ones that used to base fair pay on $6/hr have improved upon that as things have gone forward. In my mind, this was not necessarily a change of heart as much as they were given feedback to base things off of.

But, given the opaque nature of most dealings through mTurk, again, its hard to pin down specifically. Maybe I'm just fooling myself into thinking I'm doing some good. Maybe its just basic economics and I'm not taking inflation into account.
There's also feedback of people not doing the tasks, but I'm only familiar with that in the realm of the worst batches and not surveys. Personally I try to never put myself in the position of needing to leave feedback for a survey that pays $6 an hour or less (or whatever floor you want). I imagine it's a combination of many factors, the feedback, the lack of workers willing to work on the worst surveys, more requesters using mturk for surveys based on published research that's already used it gaining prominence over time, and probably more that I'm not thinking of now.

I do believe someone mentioned earlier this morning that this is happening, though I can't remember if it was with FF or Chrome or who posted about it. I'm having a low spoons day, so forgive me for not remembering if there was a fix to it. Maybe use the forum search function to narrow down the posts? (Also, I'm sorry that this is happening. I had that happen once, and it was incredibly frustrating.)

Oh-in case the previous mention is not applicable to your situation (you use different browser, etc.) double-check that the clock on your computer is set to the (official) correct time. Sometimes even a second of difference can wonk things out (that's what the deal was when it happened to me).
Many thanks...it was my system clock! :finger:
