Yeah, I mean. I think, on the surface, it was a cool prank in general. But when you're stupid enough to do it around schools and make actual threats, you get what you deserve.

I think maybe the first one was, (or inspired by IT maybe?) but then people decided "Hey, this looks fun to mimic" and it's gone downhill from there.

Regarding the clown thing, it may have started as marketing for It (and 2 other clown movies coming out that I don't remember the names of) but I think it crashed into the ever-increasing amount of troll-types that exist today. Unfortunately, it has reached the point where it's causing people harm, which will only make it worse. (That's the terrifying part of it, for me-the fact that such a thing could encourage others to go out and do it.)

That being said, may any/all religious entities help the person who dresses as a clown and tries to start something with me. I'm a sweetheart, but I'm scrappier than a hobo's best t-shirt. (I can say that, as a former-and likely possible future-hobo.)
