Domestic cats kill almost 4 billion birds a year. Many countries consider them a destructive invasive species.
And Amsterdam holds cats in high esteem because if they didn't have the cats the city would have been over long ago by mice and rats because of it's location. Of course they kill birds. Man kills pigs and cows. That's what they do. And don't even get me started on what dogs will kill if given the opportunity. I grew up on a farm with farm dogs. They kill, then roll in it. But overall we all have our place on the food chain.

What's even better, is when your cat comes in with a bird. That's still alive. That he let's go, so he can catch it over and over again. Feathers flying everywhere...
These don't bother the birds. There's ferals for that. But I have seen birds and squirrels tease the ferals but now the poor things are getting to old to care much about it. In Texas it was the geckos that the cats loved along with the big tree roaches. We would rescue the geckos and put them outside it they were able to be rescued meaning they'd only dropped their tails and not been chewed. But the roaches the cats were welcome too. Those fly around the house too.

Description: Impulsivity (the tendency to make quick responses without too much deliberation) is a normal cognitive trait found in the general population. This trait is multifaceted, but the different thinking processes that contribute to impulsivity have not yet been precisely established. In order to gain a better understanding of impulsivity, this projects aims to: (i) investigate how different thinking processes contribute to impulsivity, and (ii) develop a suite of online tasks to measure these different cognitive aspects of impulsivity. We hope this study will add to the general knowledge about the nature of impulsivity and help us with the design of more effective interventions for people who have impulsivity related problems.
