We’ve made it easier for more Requesters to use Amazon Mechanical Turk

Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is pleased to announce support for Requesters in select countries outside of the United States. Now more Requesters can have their problems solved using our on-demand crowdsourcing platform providing more opportunities for Workers to earn rewards.

Starting today, Requesters from these countries can sign up and use MTurk:

United States
Australia
Canada
United Kingdom

It would be nice to feel cautiously optimistic about more work coming in, but..... "improvements"

Sucks that before today requesters from the United States couldn't sign up.

They could if they had a US bank account or a colleague with a US bank account or used a third party service. But yeah, now the requesters from those countries will be able to post HITs directly themselves with their own funds, it sounds like.
