Just went through 10 months of this nonsense.. I feel sorry for anyone who has to go through it. They're pretty dead set on their way of verification, even if everywhere else can verify you and they can't.

Yeah, this. mTurk still asks for it for tax purposes. If you make more than a certain amount, they need to send you a tax form.

Verification issues come up because the credit bureaus, not the government, handle all of your personal information - particularly when it comes to verifying your identity. If you have no credit, they have no record of you - meaning nobody (including social security and other government organizations) can verify your identity.

Hey everyone! Next hit is coming today, at 1400EDT (2PM). I'm going to run it a little later in the hopes of giving everyone an opportunity to participate. As mentioned yesterday, this is the second-to-last week before the end! I plan on doing another batch on Halloween, probably during work hours again, but we'll see! The feedback I got during the quiz was encouraging, and can be seen here. Looks like everyone wants a bigger, better batch, and about half of the people are willing to donate to make it even bigger and better. I'll do a specific posting about this next week, so if you are one of the people willing to donate keep an eye out probably on Tuesday or Wednesday for info (if I'm going that route).
