How would they know? and what is considered an "old account"? And sometimes I do searches to see what people say about mturk and I thought I read someone getting their account suspended for changing their location when they moved. Does that happen?

The bit I could get from them was that "old accounts" (meaning created prior to Amazon making the state qualification an option) were made differently than newer accounts and their developers can't do anything about it.

As for people getting their accounts suspended for moving, sure. I think it happens, but I also think people get their accounts suspended for random reasons and Amazon never says why. So who knows. It's one of the Great Mysteries of Amazon Mechanical Turk.
