I don't think you need a gift card. If you leave it in your amazon balance instead of transferring it to your bank or wherever they will usually ask you if you want to use that money. That's been my experience anyway.

When you go to check out, under payment options, you can select "use amazon payments balance." It will use whatever balance you have to pay for your order; if it's not enough then the balance gets charged to your credit card or whatever the other payment method is.

That's right I think. I misunderstood first time, sorry. I don't know but you probably still have the wait period on your money. But yes, you ought to have the option to transfer to your bank. They usually want to do a one dollar transfer to make sure it's set up correctly.

I never transferred the money into my bank so I was wondering if I could use amazon payments to just pay for my amazon order or if I could transfer my MTurk money to my amazon account gift balance, would it be instant? I have enough in my MTurk available to transfer to pay for the order. I also have enough in the amazon payments account. So if either of those work I'm good.

mturk to amazon giftcard used to be immediate
last time I tried (which was after the current slowdown of payment transfers started) it took the same amount of time as the transferring to amazon payments


as far as amazon payments to giftcard... I don't know anything about that, but apparently there's a link on the payment screen on amazon that allows you to do that immediately, as @Matilda Jones just mentioned
