They don't know. When they first got the cat (4 years ago), the vet was saying she was probably 2. So that would make her 6 now. but now the vet is saying they think she's actually older than that. So they really don't know how old she is. If it was arthritis, though, that'd explain not wanting to go through the cat door, but why would she wanna jump up on the table? definitely easier to pee on the floor (and again, she is NOT a jumper -- they got her a cat tower to feed her on so the dogs wouldn't be able to reach the food, and she couldn't figure out how to climb it).
This sounds silly but cats are strange. If the family does a lot of fun things around that table she might feel safe there, could be looking for something more to eat or just curious. Personally, I've cleaned up after so many cats that it's a habit for me. If I had a choice between the cat going in my bed or on the table which is something I can easily clean and sanitize, I'll take the table any day over a messed up mattress.

Has she been checked for diabetes? I didn't notice how old the baby is but this can be a problem with cats. The cat will do the best it can. Don't get mad at one that misses the litter box. Maybe try some catnip around the litter box if kitty is into that kind of thing and when I have cats that are older and begin missing the box I always add papers or whatever it takes around and under the box to make sure the floor is protected from mishaps. Also has there been a change in litter? That can upset a kitty. If it can't get into the litter box then cut out a space so it walks in or has just a small step. I use the cheap carpet pieces you can get a Family $ for about $2 to put in the front of the box to catch the litter. Those can be vacuumed or just shake them out. If they cat messed or something I clean them with carpet cleaner.
When it was a matter of the cat leaking urine on the cat bed, I knew it wasn't her fault, so I felt bad. but this was a viscous act of kitty terror
I don't think they switched litters. but I'll go check to make sure the box is clean enough and filled up enough (she can get picky about that). Again, I'd still be a little mad but I could understand her peeing on the floor if the litter box wasn't up to her standards ... just the whole kitchen table/my laptop bag thing is what's making me really angry. :( I mean, people EAT on the table!

The number was 158, but no one had that.
So the person that picked 157 and the 2 people that picked 159, are splitting the prize.

He hasn't determined who they are yet though. He has to go through the worker ids
i had 142 :(

She had a phase where she'd pee all over this one cat bed she had in the corner of the room. I didn't notice because I wasn't really trained to smell cat pee (this was the first time she peed in the house while I was watching her), and there wasn't a puddle on the floor. When they got home they smelled it and lifted up the bed and it was completely soaked, with the wood floor underneath ruined. I felt so bad, because if I had noticed it sooner I could've cleaned it up and saved the floor. :( Ugh, the dog pee I can live with, but the cat pee smells sooooooo bad!!!

Yes, I'd be upset if she was hitting the computer bag. Just put it somewhere else where she can't get to it. And watch your computer! Cats are attracted as cat owners know, to the heat of a laptop. I think you said you don't have animals but could your bag have come in contact with a dog or another cat somewhere? Cats like to mark that territory and she may be upset if she thinks you are "cheating" on her. She could be asking for help too, something as simple as that. She could have a kidney stone.
Yeah, I know we eat off our tables but again, like I said before, I can sanitize a table without much trouble. Might have to wash the tablecloth if it's cloth. That could be a problem as that stain and smell may not come out but then I don't keep table cloths of any kind on my table unless I have company and we're using it.

This won't solve that problem but one thing I've learned to use with cats is white vinegar. It probably won't work for something urine soaked but i clean the floor boards with it around their box just in case something missed the litter and I use it to clean their spaces. Something in the vinegar neutralizes odor smells and it's a handy cleaner also.
