Depends on how you look at it.

It's adding taxes onto Amazon (maybe others?) purchases since (I think) not all states do that. (I don't know the specifics so that's about as good an answer as you're gonna get from me.)

That was the one silver lining i hoped would happen. I doubt it though. They just had to start it before Christmas didn't they? It is 8% for the whole state right?

Well, taxes could be good if you don't live in Illinois where your taxes get stolen and used to finance the antics of politicians who inevitably end up in prison.

Like, healthcare financed by taxes would be cool or.. education..

All I know is that it started last night at midnight and my first thought was Barcodes and I ran off before listening to the rest so I could post on here about it.

I just looked it up, it is 8% regardless of where in the state you live.
