I get super grumpy* if I take longer than a 20-30 minute nap.

*by this I mean I threaten bodily harm to fiance if he so much as breathes wrongly.

20 minute naps (real naps in a dark room) are the right length for that kind of thing. That's the nap all the weird sleep cycles use.

Yeah I've heard people say if you take a nap long enough to really fall asleep you end up feeling worse than if you hadn't napped.
