dick-bird is better.
dick-bird is better.
I have no issue with requesters blocking workers for scamming or repeatedly not following directions, in fact I think they should. (I also think if someone gets suspended because of blocks, amazon shouldn't be giving them a brand new account block free)Well I'm sure both those who block and those who reject for mistakes get driven away by the slavering mob.
can you explain what this means and what you've seen and found?as you said when we've done reviews of work on mturk, we've seen the type of work that gets submitted..

Where's your button, @kryssyy ? That gets my vote!I have no issue with requesters blocking workers for scamming or repeatedly not following directions, in fact I think they should. I wish more requesters would reject for shoddy work. As you said when we've done reviews of work on mturk, we've seen the type of work that gets submitted. I'm not a huge fan of being rejected, but I obviously do make mistakes and I'm sure there's plenty of times I deserved being rejected and wasn't. I spoke to a requester this week when I had emailed her about why the pay was lowered. She told me that she received a lot of junk work and had to repost some of it. If more requesters rejected for bad work, I don't think we'd see near as many pay cuts, but they don't want to be burned at the steak.
I guess I just wish more requesters and workers were able to look at things from other view points, not just their own.
Well, based on reading forums for almost three years, most of us don't even have empathy for ourselves, let alone others. So I think the best plan is to just stick with what works for you and prod the proddable (requesters and workers) in the right direction.I have no issue with requesters blocking workers for scamming or repeatedly not following directions, in fact I think they should. Just that when a requester publishes review HITs ( as in reviewing HITs previously submitted by other workers) there seems to be a high amount of submissions that are wrong, didn't read directions, etc.can you explain what this means and what you've seen and found?
I don't know what she's talking about in particular, but I"m gonna throw my stuff in here. There are (were?) sometimes hits where we review work done by other turkers. Sometimes it sucks so damned bad that I'm surprised anyone stays on mTurk.can you explain what this means and what you've seen and found?
I had a requester post a makeup HIT for me and she didn't put a qual on it, but wrote "for [my worker ID] only" in the title. She said 6 people accepted and submitted it before I was able to finally catch it. She rejected all 6 of them. But come on, people. It clearly said it was for my worker ID only and yet 6 people not only accepted it but submitted it, too.I don't know what she's talking about in particular, but I"m gonna throw my stuff in here. Plus people have tried to scam my password qual hits for the forum, and if they'll try and scam that what won't they scam?

I've seen a person in an older IRC flat out say theyll submit shitty work for certain requesters because they don't give a shitcan you explain what this means and what you've seen and found?
stories like this make me way more grateful that I have a chance to earn a decent amount of money. yikes. im suprised requesters stay.I had a requester post a makeup HIT for me and she didn't put a qual on it, but wrote "for [my worker ID] only" in the title. Where are you going in Kentucky?Slept in since the baby kept me up all night. How was it today? I remember seeing someone post their PE with minimal Zoltars.
All my MTurk money for the next couple weeks is going towards a trip to Oregon for one of my best friend's baby shower. Then the next couple weeks goes towards plane tickets to KY for Thanksgiving hopefully.
ahhh yes I am sure there are! My grandparents are from Utah and I heard many storiesI live in Utah! There are babies swarming the streets.
