Thank you, this kinda...makes my brain helped. It definitely reorganized my thought patterns. I really appreciate this, even though it seems so simple.

Eek, yeah, it's been scary to look at. But I have a decent yarn stash, and wholesalers I can buy from around $2 a skein at most for pretty nice yarn. And thankfully I already invested in the supplies as a hobbyist, so hopefully I won't lose anything on it.

I can knit these adorable bear hoods, the LEAST I could sell would be $35 and I wouldn't be paid for my time, it would barely cover my good yarn and shipping. :/ You can find them crocheted for $35 (and crochet has an open weave, and it takes less time to make one). Maybe I just have no faith in people. But in my experience people won't pay what a hand knit item is worth. :/
For you if you are a great crochet-er, find ONE item that is fast to make, doesn't take super high quality yarn and become an expert in that one thing. Slowly add other things to your shop as you gain success.

Thank you so much. This helps. I have this really adorable thing I did for holidays for a while. I just made my own coin purse pattern, and customized the colors/buttons on the purses to be appliques, and that's what I was thinking of trying first, since they're quick to make, but could probably sell around $5-6 and still make profit on them. And people are SO much more likely to buy small tiny things from someone they don't know rather than a larger, collector's style piece...

Yep, you could probably go up to $8 and have slightly cheaper shipping. People like cheaper shipping :ROFL:
under $10 is a good sweet spot to hit.
I honestly can't find anything I can make fast that hit's that sweet spot. :sigh:
