Nate Silver over at FiveThirtyEight [dot] com started his career by using stats to prognosticate on SPORTS results. You might want to hop on over there to look at the neat SPORTS stuff he's got on there. [An aside: Then he started doing politics. He accurately predicted the vote in all 50 states in 2004, and missed only one state in 2008. According to him, as of today, the election is: 67.6% chance of the female winning; 32.3% of the guy winning. I don't know what their names. Do they even have names?)

Really, peeps. Silver does do all kinds of neat sports-related stuff (none of which I have any interest in at all).
