I am not a tech but I did the same to my and had to re download everything. If I had not had backup I would have lost all my files.

My mouse wasn't working right. So I took it apart, it's in a surprising number of peices all over my bed. For some reason this did not help it work better at all. So I'm on a chromebook and touchpad.

Yeah I think I'm seriously looking for excuses not to clean at this point.

Yes, that is what I did. Took 3 hours and seems to occur with the microsoft updates getting interrupted when you do them.

i have all my stuff saved to my google account and a flash drive. I am not to Tech savvy but at least know to do that much.

No i don't have window 10 HP had try to do a system restore first but that didn't work so it's factory restoring now. I hope that works. I may ask for help with all the stuff I need for mturk because most of the time I can't find them when they are staring me in the face. Thanks

yeah i tried google but that didn't help. how can i access start menu when I can't get in? And I tried the window r button or whatever and that didnt work. I just hope the factory restore works but what caused it? it happened after I did windows update
