I mentioned this last week, I'm new to MTURK but my coworkers have been using this account for other tasks, and I don't think they knew the etiquette of the platform yet. This task I am managing on my own and have been really generous. I haven't rejected any responses so far, everyone's in the process of being paid out.

That really stinks that they left you with a TO like that. As long as you don't start randomly rejecting people you'll eventually pull out of the hole, and the older reviews won't matter anymore.


edit: I mean in the eyes of turkers, they'll still be there but people who bother to read will know what happened.

I don't know if you have but, you should respond to a few of the most recent TO reviews, stating your case about the shared account. If anyone is going to take a risk, I don't feel it is, they are going to look at TO first. They will, at least, read the first 5 reviews. Just a suggestion. Good luck.

If you have a TO account - and link me the profile page of your account, I can enable your commenting on TO so you can try to justify the rejections that you, or others off your account have given. I strongly recommend doing this..I gave your hit a shot after seeing you try to communicate here, but the average turker wouldn't know that you aren't in the habit of chain rejecting people.

Here's the hit I just did, it is a group interface where the requester has someone asking a questions, everyone answers, votes on the answers, then another question, basically about consumer habits, opinions, etc.

Also if you start paying people faster and don't let it go the full 30 day AA , people will start leaving positive reviews faster and the TO will start to look up a bit

Even if she does pay faster (someone said earlier they got paid within a day?), people often avoid HITs that say 30 day AA because that is so long to wait. If you're going to pay within a few days, set the AA to be a few days so as not to scare people off with that long AA time.
