Most animals are treated horribly, before they are harvested.
I don't consume cow milk either.
I use almond milk as a replacement.
My husband is an avid hunter, and I have gone with him, but I could never.
Yea, I use the almond milk too
but mostly because the regular milk upsets my delicate innards
and soy milk is ok, but the main reason I use almond instead of milk
was to inhibit the hormones based on estrogen, of which soy has plenty also

in the end, my kid doesn't like almond milk because that's all her mom gives her,
but, too bad kid, so do i

what i really don't like is the vanilla flavor.
come on! regular flavor is already good
vanilla is too sweet,
unecessary

I have one laptop that has a fried board. I'm taking the lcd screen out, buying a controller board for it, mounting the lcd screen on a stand, and then going to use it as an additional monitor. I'll repeat with the other two if it works.
A controller board? that's awesome, i didn't know you could do that. I think i messed up a couple laptop monitors trying to use them to make video projectors with them and an overhead protector b/c i broke the video cable ribbon things. I have fine motor skill issues or probably am just not patient. I'd love to hear how it goes! I think i have one un-maimed one left.

It's pretty simple. I have what I'm currently working in front of me. On my left screen I am accepting jobs. On my right screen, I have non-work stuff.(music, email, etc.) Some people work better with a ton of tabs on one screen, I don't. Prefs, and stuff. :)

I had never thought about it until some book talked about how it is meant for baby cows, if meant for people, the thought of people going out into fields in business suits to drink their milk wouldn't seem odd. I know this is not exactly the best argument, but something else about casein in milk turning to glue in your stomach, cows having several stomachs, anyway that stuck with me, made sense (what I read did anyway, versus me trying to recall it 20 yrs later lol) . I don't abstain from it (yet) but consume much less then I would otherwise I'm sure.

Think of it this way.

Pretend you have a tiny desk and it's got enough room for all your paperwork and stuff but it's cramped and the only way to see any other papers you are working on is to put the paperwork on top on bottom. Then one day you get a desk that's bigger, and now all your paperwork sits on your desk in neat little organized piles and you can see it all w/out having to move everything around first.

That's the point.

I don't want to go into to much detail because i dont want to be rude, but cows who get used excessively for milk production often get infections in their utters, and this causes it to be passed to the milk.
Food regulations actually allows for a certain percent of pus and other nasties to exsist in the milk when it is put on the grocery shelf.

ok that might do it for me. Have you ever read The Poisenwood Bible? By Barbara Kingsolver. I never looked at food the same way. My favorite book ever.
