I don't want to go into to much detail because i dont want to be rude, but cows who get used excessively for milk production often get infections in their utters, and this causes it to be passed to the milk.
Food regulations actually allows for a certain percent of pus and other nasties to exsist in the milk when it is put on the grocery shelf.
They also allow X amount of fly eggs in canned tomatoes, or X amount of maggots in canned mushrooms.
edit: couldn't remember exact numbers just remember it from the article I read. Unless you are growing and washing it yourself you're probably eating some nasty shit.
