I was trying to set up an AHK script so I could multitab PFA but it seems like the images don't load in the tab until you switch to it so that sort of defeats the purpose. Is there any way to force them to load in a tab that's not active/in focus?

um they will load in other windows.. But if they aren't for you try putting two windows side by side and using the x,y coordinates to click on each window.
